Excelsior, MN – April 8, 2025 – U.S. Compliance (USC), a national provider of environmental, health and safety (EHS) services, announced today that it has acquired OSHA/Environmental Compliance Systems (OECS), a leader in EHS consulting headquartered in St. Louis Park, MN, with a strong presence in Minnesota and surrounding states. The acquisition of the Minnesota-based OECS further solidifies USC’s market leading position and builds further density in the region.
USC, a platform company backed by Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), an entrepreneur-centric growth equity firm, employs a unique Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) model which is a transformational approach to EHS compliance that combines expert consulting, cloud-based software, and on-demand support to help clients achieve and sustain EHS compliance, reduce risk, and improve overall company performance. USC’s CaaS model is designed to be flexible, scalable, and cost-effective, allowing clients to focus on growing their business.
“We are excited to welcome OECS to the U.S. Compliance family. This acquisition builds upon our presence in the Upper Midwest region and strengthens our team of exceptional EHS professionals. Our shared commitment to clients and team members makes this a natural partnership,” said Jim Ginther, CEO, U.S. Compliance.
Founded in 1993, OECS provides OSHA and environmental compliance services to companies that may not have the resources to hire a full-time workplace safety professional or are seeking additional resources to fulfill safety requirements. OECS offers comprehensive safety services for manufacturing and construction businesses through a team of experienced safety consultants.
“The combination of OECS and U.S. Compliance represents a significant milestone in our company’s mission of creating safer, more compliant workplaces. Together, we are uniquely positioned to expand our reach and elevate our environmental, health and safety services – advancing our vision of building strong safety cultures that ensure workers go home safe.” added Chris Naylor, CEO, OECS.
OECS’ President Tim Sheehan further added, “Joining forces with U.S. Compliance allows us to leverage a national platform with expertise in additional service areas to better serve our clients. We’re thrilled for OECS to become a part of the U.S. Compliance growth story.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Troutman Pepper served as legal counsel to U.S. Compliance and Hennepin Partners advised on the transaction.
