DOT Hazardous Materials (HazMat)
Training
Course Description
This half-day DOT training will teach your employees
the proper prepping, packaging, placarding, and labeling required
to ship Hazardous Materials. Every employee involved in shipping,
transporting, or handling hazardous materials must receive training
to be certified; the training must be repeated at least every 36
months; and the training must be updated whenever there is a regulation
change affecting an employee's job duties.
The Class Will Cover the Following Details:
Definition of Hazardous Materials and HazMat Employees,
Health and Physical Hazards – Chemicals, Hazard Detection and Identification,
Basic Understanding of Hazardous Materials, Requirements during Transport,
Security of Hazardous Materials in Storage and Shipment, The Hazardous
Materials Table, Basic Packaging Requirements, Marking and Labeling,
Placarding, Shipping Papers, Emergency Response Information. This
program meets the DOT HazMat general awareness requirements (49 CFR Parts 171-178).
EPA Resource Conservation and Recovery
Act (RCRA) Training
Course Description
This half-day training will teach your employees
how to identify hazardous waste, proper waste management of hazardous
and universal wastes, how to complete manifests accurately and emergency
preparedness and release reporting.
The Class Will Cover the Following Details:
Regulation Review, Identification of Hazardous
Waste, General Waste Management, Special Wastes, Pre-Transport Requirements,
Emergency Response, Release Reporting, and Waste Minimization. This
RCRA Seminar fulfills the training requirements under the EPA Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for anyone who generates Hazardous
Waste.
Cost for one employee is $599 for the full day
(both classes), and $499 for the half day (one of the classes). We
provide all the training materials as required by the DOT and EPA.
